Friendly Game V's Rochdale added 12/09/2007
We have been challenged to a friendly match this Saturday agains Rochdale. The Match wiill be at home, with a 2:00pm face. Try and be at the club for 1.00pm for a short practice beforehand. Everyone will get the chance to play. Please let Gavin or Lee know if you are available.
Pre-Season Meeting added 11/09/2007
We are planning to have a pre season meeting on Tuesday 18th Sept at 6.30p.m. again at Hallfire. Is this O.K for everyone, please could you all send a response to Chris Taylor ASAP so that we know who is available to attend.
Squad Game added 28/08/2007
Another Squad game has been arranged for Saturday 8th September. We need as many players as possible to turn out if it is going to be as much of a success as the last one. Get in touch with your mates, and get them to turn out. The season is just around the corner, and a bit of match practice always helps. Arrive for 12.30 prompt for a 1pm Face, Clayton Playing Fields (Our old pitch.)

Cricket Game Sunday 2nd September added 31/08/2007
The cricket section have invited some local councillors to the game on Sunday with a view to future funding. The Sports Club would like some lacrosse members to come along and meet the councillors as they do not yet understand that the club is about more than cricket and multi sport is what gets assistance these days.
Can you make the effort to come up, you do not need to spend all afternoon there and if you can get this message to other members to invite them so much the better.
Notice To all Club Members, added 23/07/2007
The last weekend which has just passed (21st July) was the first training session to be held on a Saturday. It was a bit disappointing to see just how little numbers of people turned up to this. I know it can be hard sometimes to get to training, but a lot of people are putting a lot of effort in travelling down. I feel the captains are not getting the support they need to keep the club going, we are not just the captains of the lacrosse club but we are also your mates!! (It’s not just training its meeting up having a laugh)
We are going to really struggle this year in getting three teams out so try and show your support and turn up!!!!!!

There will be a follow up Committee meeting in response to the meeeting held on the 16th July. It will be at Hallfire, at 6.30pm. on the 8th August.

There will be an A Team V B Team Friendly match this Saturday 4th August at Clayton Playing Fields. Please be ready to start the match at 1:30, and try and contact as many people you know in the club and get them to attend.

If you do not want to be able to influence decisions at YOUR club, there is nothing you need to do after reading this message. However if you think you would want to share in the decision making then get your Nominations for Officers and Committee up on the lists in the cafe, and attend the AGM on Monday 30th July to vote your choices into office. Please get their approval first.

Agenda for Committee Meeting added 09/07/2007
The next meeting will be at Hall Fire, as discussed in the last minutes 13/06/07. The meeting commences at 6.30p.m. If you have any discussion items for this meeting I can put them on the agenda minutes in advance of the meeting. If not please bring them to the meeting as we have an AOB at the end. We could do with knowing the numbers of attendees, as Mike will be laying on refreshments, so if you are planning to make it please e-mail Chris Taylor. Oldham Lacrosse Club Sponsored Cricket Match added 02/07/2007
Oldham Lacrosse Club will be the official sponsor of Oldham CC's 2007 Wood Cup Semi-Final on Sunday 15th July at The Pollards, starting at 13:30.
The sponsorship package includes free enterance to the match, and complementary food and drink. Please let Jason Teal know if you are able to attend, and support the Cricket team.
Work Day & 20:20 Friendly added 02/07/2007
Oldham Cricket & Lacrosse Clubs are holding a Work day on Sunday 8th July in the Function room. Please turn up at around 9.00am. There will also be a game of 20:20 cricket as part of the incentive to get us up there to do some work!
